In this section we are displaying information specifically about machined or polished wheels with clear coat on the bare aluminium
surface. Here we will provide you with an overview of our different levels of refinishing. These include wheels that have minor damage
such as curb abrasion, or damage from careless tire work, wheels with scratches or corrosion on the whole front or face, and wheels with
corrosion in the holes, or requiring a colour change. All our refinishing work is guaranteed!
LIP JOB
Wheels requiring a lip job have usually been scraped against a curb or otherwise. There is MINOR damage to the outer 1/4" lip of the
wheel only, and or it may be slightly bent. A wheel fitting this description will be repaired with as little cosmetic variances as possible. As
always the wheel will be extensively cleaned under high pressure to eliminate all contaminants. It will then be straightened using our
custom made wheel press, and then machined to remove the scuffing on the lip. Parts of the wheel that are not to be re-clear coated are
now masked and all paint work is performed.

FACE JOB
This job applies to wheels which are only damaged on the face or front surface of the wheel. Damage may include curb abrasion,
corrosion, faded or dull clear coat. The painted holed should be in good condition with no corrosion. The wheel is carefully
de-contaminated and the holes are thoroughly cleaned to remove excess brake dust etc. The wheel is then stripped for clear-coat only on
the polished or machined areas. Polishing to remove scratching, corrosion etc. is now performed. Another careful cleaning and the
wheels are ready for multiple coats of quality clear. Usually, unless it is totally unnecessary, the bead area where the tire seats is also
cleaned and re-clear coated.

COMPLETE JOB
Usually wheels require complete refinishing due to corrosion or extensive damage. Any desired colour changes can also be obtained
during complete refinishing at no extra charge. These wheels are first chemically de-contaminated and then chemically stripped to
eliminate clear and or colour coats. Next and perhaps most importantly they are sandblasted front to back. This not only rids the wheel
of contamination and corrosion, but also prepares it for new top coats. Sandblasting the entire wheel STOPS annoying air-bead leaks due
to corrosion in the bead area. After blasting they are carefully polished to eliminate curb scrapes, scratches, and all corrosion so they will
look new when they are completed. Colour coats are applied to the inside of spokes or holes, and is also applied to the back and bead
area. The clear coat is then applied to the front of the wheel, the bead area, and the back. This will minimize the possibility of the
corrosion returning.
