The Wheel Fix is now installing high quality OMF beadlocks on existing non-beadlock aluminum wheels. These are designed and engineered to withstand the punishment and abuse of off-road and competition usage. Almost any 15", 16", or 17" aluminum wheel can be modified into a beadlock. OMF is amongst the leaders in the manufacture of high quality aluminum beadlocks so you can be confident that these are a great product. First your wheels will be accurately cut apart using a large sturdy metal lathe. The wheel may be modified so the final result is either wider narrower, or the same width as the original "donor" wheel. For precise centering of the inner beadlock ring, we then machine a very shallow (.005") groove into the backside of the inner ring. This grove is the exact same size as the front portion of the cut wheel so the two parts can be accurately centered on each other. Next the parts are clamped tightly on each other on a thick steel table. They are then skillfully TIG welded using our Miller Sincrowave 250 machine. The wheels are now operational beadlocks and may be used as they are. We can either stop here or refinish them to your specifications. The ones pictured here have been machine polished or "spin polished" and then clear coated using a clear coat specifically designed for bare aluminum with a special tint in it to inexpensively achieve an anodized look.
